Deepash

Executed during the challenging conditions of the 2020 COVID lockdown, our inaugural campaign was designed to uplift the livelihood of the pottery artisans' community in Gorakhpur. Collaboratively, our team worked with the potters to enhance their ‘Diya’ (earthen oil lamp) sales during the Diwali season.


  • Deepash 20’- In the first phase of Deepash, we worked with 1 family assisting them in selling 2500+ diyas in just a span of 20 days.

  • Deepash 21’ - The 2nd phase of Deepash was much more impactful for the community, wherein we worked with 3 families, assisting them in selling 13000+ diyas over a period of 40 days.

Overall, this campaign led to an average increase of 40% in the annual income of the pottery artisans involved
